Staff Accountant
Haynes Strand and Company PLLS is seeking a professional, motivated CPA with diverse accounting and tax experience in a public accounting firm. This position offers an excellent opportunity for leadership and responsibility in our growing firm. To qualify, candidates must have at least 3 years of experience in partnership and corporate taxation and a CPA certificate. Candidates with significant experience using ProSystem fx Engagement and/or ProSystem fx Tax software will be given priority consideration. Responsibilities include preparation of corporate, partnership and individual tax returns, working directly with our closely held business clients and responding directly to their inquiries. The candidate will also train and supervise others in the preparation of returns, enhance service delivery to clients and leverage our investment in technology to maximize productivity.

Haynes Strand and Company PLLC is pleased to offer Internship Programs to local college and university students. Internships are available at both the Greensboro and Mount Airy office locations and provide the invaluable hands-on experience of working with a public accounting firm. The success and growth of Haynes Strand and Company is highly dependent upon the quality of the firm's team. As such, the firm is committed to its Internship Program. Haynes Strand and Company PLLC works closely with interns to meet both the goals of the firm as well as those of the intern.

Accounting Internship
Applicants must be full-time students with a 3.0 or higher GPA and should have completed their Junior year. Applicants should have completed Intermediate Accounting courses, be currently pursuing a degree in Accounting and maintain a desire to work in Public Accounting upon graduation. Income Tax coursework is not required, but is strongly recommended. Accounting Internships occur during the summer and give students practical experience in the tax, accounting, and/or audit fields. Accounting Internships are paid and may be eligible for course credit depending on the accrediation standards followed by the applicant's institution.
